Welcome! Duke and Kassia Webb have been married for 13 years. Together they have 2 beautiful daughters and own 2nd Ave Farms. Duke is a multi-generational farmer and is the 3rd generation on the current farm. He first became interested in regenerative farming in 2017 when his crop was destroyed in a hail storm. Instead of tilling the corn under and giving up for the year; he researched alternative farming practices. He discovered cover crops and began his self-education in the regenerative farming movement.
From books, to podcasts, to documentaries, to soil conferences; Duke has increased his knowledge base exponentially. All of that education is now put into action as he manages the feed crops on the farm.
Kassia is 15-year healthcare veteran. Starting her career at the age of 18. She strived for excellence in her various roles at the bedside with patients. After years, she realized that the majority of health-related illnesses could be treated by lifestyle changes and better choices in diet. She realized that food is what fuels us and if that food is toxic so are our bodies. Kassia decided that it was time for a change, not only for herself but for others too. It was time to start producing foods to nourish the body and allow people to buy directly from the farm. With transparent growing practices and without the use of hormones, herbicides, pesticides, insecticides, or steroids. Allowing the animals to grow at a natural pace and in their natural environment. Kassia quit her job and 2 weeks later 2nd Ave Farms was born. Duke and Kassia work side by side to grow the freshest vegetables and most flavorful meats. Selling everything fresh from the field to your table. Creating a healthier future for this generation and the next.
